In their words...

I'm a therapist who pays attention to the impact of an individual's personal history, but who also thinks about techniques that we have in the present that they can use to bring about change in their own lives. I bring a combination of reflective thought about the impact of my clients' own experiences on their relationships, and I give them tools to work in the present.

Sue Watts, MSW, Director of Social Work Training

Please check back for information on our upcoming application dates.

We are interested in facilitating the initiation and growth of faculty research programs that have implications for the prevention, development, assessment, and treatment of difficulties in human adjustment. The proposed research funded by our Small Grants Program may involve active collaboration with our faculty and staff, and may be implemented off-site or at one of our three units: the Psychological Clinic, the University Center for the Development of Language and Literacy, or the University Center for the Child and the Family.

Our Small Grants Program provides individual awards to help cover the direct and indirect costs for the selected research projects. The Faculty Small Grants Program was initiated in 2010, and we have awarded grants to two individuals. We look forward to receiving and reviewing next year’s applications.  Visit the awards page for more information on previous recipients.

Visit our Application Process & Deadline section for information on how to apply for a Faculty Small Grant.
