In their words...

I'm a therapist who pays attention to the impact of an individual's personal history, but who also thinks about techniques that we have in the present that they can use to bring about change in their own lives. I bring a combination of reflective thought about the impact of my clients' own experiences on their relationships, and I give them tools to work in the present.

Sue Watts, MSW, Director of Social Work Training

Apply Now

We are now accepting applications for up to three 2013-2014 GSRA positions. Please apply by Friday, February 15, 2013. Awards will be announced on March 1, 2013.

We are pleased to offer the availability of up to three Graduate Student Research Assistantships (GSRA positions) that are sponsored by our institute within the Rackham Graduate School. These positions are 50% appointments for both fall and winter terms of the 2013–2014 academic year.

We are offering these positions to encourage outstanding doctoral students to pursue research careers in areas pertinent to our mission of promoting the well-being of children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are struggling with mental health, learning, and communication difficulties.

We aim to facilitate the growth of faculty research programs that closely involve graduate students and have implications for the prevention, development, assessment, and treatment of difficulties in human adjustment.

Visit our Application Process & Deadline section for information on how to apply for a GSRA position.
