Cheryl King, PhD, ABPP, Director of the Institute for Human Adjustment
Dr. Cheryl A. King, Director of the Institute for Human Adjustment (IHA)
Dr. Cheryl King, director of the Institute for Human Adjustment (IHA) and licensed clinical psychologist, joined the University of Michigan faculty in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1987. She has been leading IHA since 2009. A professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Michigan, Dr. King's career as a clinical psychologist spans nearly 30 years. In addition to her administrative role at IHA, she is well- known for her expertise in youth and young adult suicide risk assessment and prevention. She is a tireless advocate for the integration of science and clinical practice, for strong clinical psychology training and mentorship, and for quality mental health services that enhance the well-being of individuals, couples, and families.

Victoria (Vikki) Dudley is the budget and operations analyst and financial unit liaison in the IHA central office
Victoria (Vikki) Dudley, BBA, is the budget and operations analyst and financial unit liaison in the central office of the Institute for Human Adjustment (IHA). She has been working in the field of accounting for over 20 years, the last nine of which have been at the University of Michigan. Vikki was previously a financial consultant in the U-M Medical School before starting at IHA. She is currently working on implementing university-supported systems to track and report financial data, making our systems more efficient for future use.

Brenda Sodt Foster, BS, IHA Assistant Director
Brenda Sodt Foster, IHA Assistant Director
Brenda Sodt Foster, BS, is the assistant director of the Institute for Human Adjustment (IHA). She has been working at IHA in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for over 16 years, and has over 25 years of experience at the University of Michigan. Brenda has worked in human resource management, budget administration, information technology administration, and marketing for U-M. She establishes financial and employment internal controls for IHA while also working as the webmaster, managing content and site logistics. Brenda also serves as the HIPAA Privacy and HRMS unit liaison for IHA.

Dave Purdy, MSCS, Sr. Desktop & Network Specialist
Dave Purdy
Dave Purdy, MSCS, is the Senior Desktop and Network Specialist at the Institute for Human Adjustment (IHA). He started in IHA's central office in 2003. Before coming to IHA, Dave worked as an independent computer consultant in Texas for about 10 years prior to taking on the job of IT Manager for the ABC television station in Dallas, Texas. Dave also serves on the Campus HIPPA Security Committee, where he has been a member for several years.

Carol Woodard, BA, Senior Administrative Assistant
Carol Woodard, BA, is the senior administrative assistant in the IHA central office. She works closely with our trainees and interns, planning their events from orientation to graduation. Before coming to IHA, Ms. Woodard worked as a supervisor and customer service representative for phone companies in Atlanta, Georgia, and San Francisco, California. She started working in the U-M Psychological Clinic in 1995 as the daytime receptionist and progressed through office supervisor to senior administrative assistant in the IHA central office.
